City of Prague 14 is one of the 57 boroughs of the city of Prague, located on the northeastern outskirts of Prague. The oldest building is the Saint Bartholomew Romanesque church which was founded in the 13th century.
Autonomous district was founded in 1994. Current Mayor is Radek Vondra (TOP 09). The total number of inhabitants is approximately 45,000 inhabitants.
The Office performs two basic functions which are based on the division of functions and duties of the state to its citizens. The first is registration of its population, child protection and others, the second is creation of its own social policy, providing of education, creation of the sustainable environment, and providing of medical care etc.
Sociological composition is determined by a large housing estate Černý most built in the 80s, which contains also a number of socially excluded localities. Addressing this issue is one of the biggest challenges of the district.
The municipality aims to integrate the Roma, foreigners and other groups. Office of Prague 14 is involved in the implementation of Local Agenda 21 project and meets the parameters of the quality management system ISO 9001:2009.
